Dispute Coach is a Stripe app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Dispute Coach may collect the following types of information depending on how you use the product:
- Account and contact information: such as your name, email address, and company name when you contact support or join a waitlist.
- Stripe app usage information: basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the app (for example: timestamps, request identifiers, error logs, and installation status).
- Stripe data (if enabled in future versions): dispute and payment-related data that you authorize through Stripe permissions. We will only access what is necessary to provide the features you enable.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide and operate Dispute Coach inside the Stripe Dashboard
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug errors
- Respond to support requests
- Improve the product based on aggregated feedback and usage patterns
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not run third-party advertising trackers inside the Stripe app UI.
- We do not automatically take actions on your behalf in Stripe (such as submitting disputes), unless you explicitly enable such a feature in a future version.
4. Data sharing
We share information only in the following limited cases:
- Service providers: trusted vendors who help operate the product (for example hosting, logging, or email delivery). They are only permitted to process data to provide services to us.
- Legal requirements: if required to comply with applicable law, regulation, or legal process.
- Business transfer: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Data retention
We retain information only as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business purposes such as security, auditing, and dispute resolution. Where possible, we delete or anonymize data when it is no longer needed.
6. Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Your choices
- Uninstall: you can uninstall the Stripe app at any time from your Stripe Dashboard.
- Access and deletion requests: you can request access to or deletion of your information by contacting us (see “Contact” below).
- Email preferences: if you joined a waitlist, you can unsubscribe using the link in any email.
8. International transfers
If we process information outside your country, we take steps designed to ensure an appropriate level of protection consistent with applicable laws.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide notice through the product or by email.
